Trust, Expectation, and the Birth of Maktone

Crowdfunding has been part of our story from the very beginning, as we worked to introduce great products to the world. Every time we read a message from a supporter, it gave us a profound sense of accomplishment—especially when we were able to help teams who stayed true to their innovations share their work with the world. It wasn’t until the global crisis hit that we realized something important: beautiful things deserve to be seen, now more than ever. That was when we decided to establish our company, dedicated to promoting new products that may not yet be famous, but are reliable in quality and full of potential.

In the past, we helped many manufacturers and brands bring their products to life. Through that work, we learned that not all factories deliver the same standard of quality and service. We also discovered that some people used good ideas as a way to deceive their supporters. Perhaps they never intended to mislead, but when their promises fell through, I could not condone such behavior.

Trust between people is one of the most valuable things we have. We never want to let down anyone who places their trust in us. That is why, when choosing partners, we carefully evaluate their factories, production environments, and delivery capabilities—always on behalf of the potential supporters. We make sure that every project executed by our team is delivered as promised.

Expectation is both a belief and a source of strength. The anticipation that supporters hold for a project is just as powerful as our own hope for its success. For their sake, we choose products that can live up to that expectation. Innovation is never easy, but we believe it is worth seeking out the products truly deserving of promotion—whether in creativity, usability, or quality—in order to earn the greatest satisfaction from supporters.

And so, under the name Maktone, we set out to share wonderful things with the world—products worth believing in, created by people worth trusting.
